The Contact Information section on the syllabus is different from most others because it doesn't include an open text box in which you enter information. Instead, you provide individual contacts arranged into individual contact groups.
Important: In order to add someone as a contact, they have to be added to a contact group. Start with your contact groups (Faculty, TAs, Support Staff), and then add in individual contacts.
How to Add a Contact Group to the Syllabus Contact Information Section
- Click Syllabus Builder under Content Tools on the main faculty tools page.
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the Contact Information section.
- Click + Contact Group.
- Enter the contact group name.
- Click Save.
To edit a contact group name, click the pencil icon next to the contact group you want to edit on the main Edit Contacts page. To delete a contact group, click the trash can icon next to the contact group you want to delete on the main Edit Contacts page.
How to Reorder Contact Groups in the Syllabus Contact Information Section
- Click Syllabus Builder under Content Tools on the main faculty tools page.
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the Contact Information section.
- Use the handle to click and drag a contact group to a new position on the list.
- Click Save All Changes.
How to Add An Individual Contact to a Contact Group
- Click Syllabus Builder under Content Tools on the main faculty tools page.
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the Contact Information section.
- Click + New Contact next to the contact group to which you want to add the contact.

Fill out the form. At a minimum, the first and last names are required.

Click Save.

Follow steps 3-5 to add more contacts to the same group.

Click Save All Changes.
To edit a contact, click the pencil icon next to the contact you want to edit on the main Edit Contacts page. To delete a contact from a group, click the trash can icon next to the contact you want to delete on the main Edit Contacts page.
How to Reorder Individual Contacts in the Syllabus Contact Information Section
- Click Syllabus Builder under Content Tools on the main faculty tools page.
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the Contact Information section.
- Use the handle to click and drag a contact to a new position on the list. A red-dashed line will appear as you drag a contact to a new location to guide you to an available spot.
- Click Save All Changes.
