Quiz Generator: Give All Students Full Credit for a Question

Why would you want to give all students full credit for a question?

Let's say that you have a question on the quiz that was not adequately covered in class. Instead of excluding that question from scoring, you want to give all students the credit for the question to help improve their final grade on the quiz.

Note: Deleting a question from a quiz will not remove that question from quizzes where students have already started taking a quiz. It is much better to exclude a question from scoring or to give all students full credit for the question than to delete a question from a quiz once students have already started taking a quiz.

How to Give All Students Full Credit for a Question

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the quiz title on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Responses and Grades in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
4. Click Grade All Responses to a Single Question in the Options section on the right side of the page.
5. Select the question you want to grade from the dropdown menu.
6. Click Give all students full credit for this question in the Options section on the right side of the page.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click Recalculate All Grades to update student grades.

Note: If you do not recalculate all grades, student grades for the quiz will not update at that time.
