The settings for controlling when students receive their results from a quiz and what students see in those results can be found in on the main quiz setup page. Once on the main quiz setup page, click the Sharing Results tab at the top of the page to change these options. Some options below are only available depending on the selection of other options in the sharing results setup.
When students complete a quiz in Quiz Generator, they always receive confirmation of successful quiz submission on screen and via email. Additional information can be shared with students as follows:
After students submit their answers, show them this text:
Click Edit to enter information that you want to show on screen immediately after a student submits their answers to a quiz.
What information should be displayed on-screen/emailed?
You can select any or none of these options. The options are the same for both on-screen display and email display. Click Preview These Options to see an example of how things will look on-screen or in an email message if any of these options are selected.
Note: You can leave all options deselected and change them once you have finished grading all student work on a quiz.
Also immediately send a copy of the student's responses (and only their responses) to the student in the email confirming successful submission.
This option is independent of the on-screen/email options listed above. Selecting this option sends the student a copy of their answers to questions and nothing else as soon as they submit their answers to a quiz.
Display the answer key to students who have taken the quiz after it is no longer available to students ? This will also display their responses alongside the answer key.
Select this option if you want to display the answer key to students who have taken the quiz once the due date for the quiz passes. If the answer key is displayed in this way, the answers that students selected will be displayed along with the correct answers from the answer key.
Note: If the quiz is linked with an event in Schedule Builder, and you want to allow students to view the answer key after the due date for the quiz has passed, you will need to set a separate access end date just for the answer key. See below.
Allow students who have not taken the quiz to see the answer key as well?
If you choose to display the answer key after the quiz due date, you can also show the answer key to anyone who did not take the quiz.
Select the date and time after which students will no longer have access to the answer key.
Display the answer key even if the student's quiz hasn't been fully scored?
Select Yes if you want students to see the answer key even if all of their responses to fill-in-the-blank and essay responses have not yet been scored.
Important: If you select Yes, this will override any other answer key setting in the quiz setup.
Passing percentage score the student needs to achieve to see the answer key:
You can limit the display of the answer key to only those students who received a [n]% score on the quiz or higher.
Hold email notification of results?
Selecting this option prevents any of the "What information should be emailed?" options, above, from being sent until you tell the system to email results from the main Responses and Grades page for the quiz.
