Quiz Generator: Send Students Their Final Scores

Once you have finished scoring all student quizzes, you can send students their results. You can, in specific circumstances, configure a quiz to immediately send students their results as soon as they finish a quiz. In the case of midterms, finals, or other high-stakes exams, it's considered best practice to not send anything until all students have taken the quiz and everyone's quizzes are fully scored.

Important: The contents of the quiz results email message that students receive is determined by what you select in the options for sharing results of the quiz.

How to Send Students Their Final Scores

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the quiz title on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Responses and Grades in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
4. To select all students in the class, click the checkbox next to Student at the top of the page and the top of the column of checkboxes.
5. To select individual students, click the checkbox next to the desired student names.
6. Click Send Results in the Options section on the right side of the page.

If your class has less than 100 students, results are sent immediately. If your class has over 100 students, sending results emails will be done asynchronously in the background. A countdown queue will appear on the main Responses and Grades page while there are students who still have results to be sent.

How to See a History of When Results Were Sent to Students

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the quiz title on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Responses and Grades in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
4. Click the History button (book icon) to the right of the desired student.
5. A history of every time a results email was sent to that student will appear.
