How to Create a Graded Item
- Click Set Up Gradebook from any page in the Gradebook.
- Click Create Graded Item.
- Enter the name of the graded item, or use the Link to Drop Box, Quiz, Discussion Forum, Peer Assessment, or PathFinder Simulation dropdown menu to link the graded item to an existing item in CoursePlus.
- Select the appropriate Grading Method from dropdown menu to choose the grading method.
- If yours is a percentage-based Gradebook, enter the percentage that this graded item factors into the students' final grades.
- Click Save.
Note: If you add graded items while the Gradebook's grading method is set to Percentage then switch to Points, all graded items' grading method will switch to points. If you later decide to switch back to Percentage, all graded items' grading method will remain as points based. You will need to manually adjust each item's grading method if you want them set to a method other than points.
Tip: If there is more than one graded item in the Gradebook, you can reorder items by dragging on the icon to the left of each graded item name.
How to Edit a Graded Item
- Click Set Up Gradebook from any page in the Gradebook.
- Click Edit next to the graded item you want to change.
- Change any of the options in the form that appears.
- Click Save.
How to Remove a Graded Item
- Click Set Up Gradebook from any page in the Gradebook.
- Click Remove next to the graded item you want to remove.
- A confirmation window will appear. Select I'm Sure! to remove the graded item.
Note: When you remove a graded item, all content and grade information related to this item are permanently removed with the item. Removed items cannot be retrieved.
