Quiz Generator: Convert Existing Student Answers Into Final Answers

If a student starts a quiz but never submits their answers, the Quiz Generator flags this as an Abandoned Attempt on the quiz. The one exception to this is:

• If you set up the quiz to have a timer, and
• If you set up the quiz to have that timer continue running even if the student leaves the quiz page, and
• Time runs out for the student on the quiz

Then the student's answers for the quiz are automatically submitted by CoursePlus in the background. Students receive zero points for any questions they did not answer.

Outside of this situation, however, any time a student starts a quiz but never submits their answers is considered an abandoned attempt. You can take the answers a student entered and convert them into the final answer set for the student.

How to Convert Existing Student Answers Into Final Answers

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the quiz title on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Responses and Grades in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
4. Click the student name in the list of all students. 
5. Scroll through the listing of all questions and answers that the student submitted thus far.
6. Click Record The Answers Below as the Student's Final Answers.
