How to Set a Default Start Page in the Discussion Forum

Start on the New Since Last Visit page instead of the default view of the Discussion Forum when you access the Discussion Forum.

1. Click Discussion Forum under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the View/Subscribe Options link at the top of the main Discussion Forum page.
3. If you would like your default start page to be the New Since Last Visit tab, click the check box for Always start on the "New Since Last Visit" tab when visiting the Discussion Forum.
4. Click Update. The next time you access the Discussion Forum tool, you will be directed to the New Since Last Visit tab.

How to Always Show Previously Read Discussion Forum Posts

Always display all messages in the topic view, instead of having the messages you've already read hidden by default.

1. Click Discussion Forum under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the View/Subscribe Options link at the top of the main Discussion Forum page.
3. Click the check box for Always show previously read messages in every topic.
4. Click Update. All messages will now appear expanded in topic view.
