How to Download an Individual Student Submission
- Go to the main Course Drop Box page.
- Click the View Submissions button (inbox icon) in the row of the desired assignment.
- Click the Download button next to the student's name. Make sure you're in the correct assignment part.
- If necessary, follow the dialog for downloading the file to the desired location on your computer.
Note: File names for anonymized submissions will include unique identifiers in place of student names. If the Drop Box is set up for group submissions, each student in the same group will have the same file and file name.
How to Download a Zip File of All Submissions for an Assignment Part
Downloading a zip file of all student submissions is a quick and easy way to save all files in a Drop Box on your computer. Files downloaded this way can be graded and then returned via the Gradebook tool.
- Go to the main Course Drop Box page.
- Click the View Submissions button (inbox icon) in the row of the desired assignment.
- For the desired assignment part, use the "Click here to create and download a ZIP file..." link at the top of the page.
- This process may take several minutes. You will receive an email when the zip file is ready.
- Click the link to download the zip file.
- Follow the dialog box instructions to save the zip file to the desired location on your computer.
- Follow steps 3 and 4 to download zip files for other assignment parts if needed.
Note: If group assignments were submitted to a Drop Box, there will only be one file for each group submission. That file will use the following naming structure: dropboxname_dropboxid_groupname_groupid.filetype. No student names will be visible in the file name, but they will be associated with each file if and when you need to return the graded files via the Gradebook tool.
