If a student experiences technical difficulties that prevent them from uploading an assignment, you or a TA can upload the file to a Drop Box on the student's behalf.
How to Submit a File on a Student's Behalf
- Go to the main Course Drop Box page.
- Click the View Submissions button (inbox icon) in the row of the desired assignment.
- In the Unreceived Submissions section toward the bottom of the page, click the Submit for Student button next to the name of the student.
- On the page that appears, you can upload the file for the student.
- If there is more than one assignment part, you will see an upload box for each part.
- Click the Pick a file... button to search for the file and upload it.
- Repeat step 6 for each assignment part as necessary.
- The file is uploaded once selected, and students get email notification that a file was submitted on their behalf.
Tip: You don't have to upload files for each part at the same time. The student's name will appear in the Partial Submissions section if all the parts haven't been submitted yet.
How to Resubmit a File on a Student's Behalf
If the student has already submitted a file to a Drop Box, but the Drop Box is set up so that students cannot resubmit files past the original submission, you can still resubmit a file for a student.
- Go to the main Course Drop Box page.
- Click the View Submissions button (inbox icon) in the row of the desired assignment.
- Click the Resubmit button next to the name of the student.
