An Introduction to CoursePlus

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has developed and supports the CoursePlus learning management system (LMS), the proprietary teaching and learning platform used for courses at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Most of the courses that the Bloomberg School offers through the Johns Hopkins University Student Information System have a home on CoursePlus, as do a selection of other courses for which CTL provides support, including some on-demand training.

Navigating CoursePlus Sites

Utilize the tabs at the top right of each page in a course to navigate through the site. If there's a down arrow    next to an item (Syllabus, Communication, Resources), there's a menu of items that you can choose from. If you need to return to your list of courses, use the CoursePlus icon in the top left of any page.

Signing In to CoursePlus

If you have a JHED ID or JHU ID, you should always sign in to CoursePlus with the Sign in with JHU option. 

If you do not have a JHED ID or JHU ID, you can create an account in CoursePlus linked to an email and password of your choosing. You then sign in to CoursePlus using that option:

Forgot Your CoursePlus Login Information?

If you sign in to CoursePlus with a JHED ID or JHU ID, you must retrieve that information from the my.jh.edu website. CTL Help cannot assist with passwords for JHED or JHU accounts.

If you sign in to CoursePlus with a CoursePlus account, you can retrieve your account information by using the CoursePlus account information retrieval form. Please try this instead of creating a new account. Having duplicate accounts may cause problems with access to certain tools. Contact CTL Help if further assistance is needed.

 

Your CoursePlus Account Information

Everyone who accesses CoursePlus has a profile. The following features are accessible with your CoursePlus account and profile:

• Update profile information including your photo
• Add Proctor Information (for fully online courses)
• Change password
• Set accessibility preferences
