Discussion Forum: Move a Topic to Another Category

If a topic was created that doesn't relate to the other topics in that category, you can move the topic to another category that best relates to the messages posted in that specific topic. Moving the topic will move all messages along with the topic title and original post.

How to Move a Topic to Another Category

1. Click Discussion Forum under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the topic on the Discussion Forum home view.
3. Click the Topic Options link at the top of the page.

4. Click into the Category menu to reveal the list of categories.

5. Select the category into which you want to move this topic.

6. Click Save Changes.
