Discussion Forum: Get an Email Every Time There's a New Post in a Topic

If you want to receive an email every time someone posts to a particular topic, you can subscribe to that topic. Subscriptions can be turned off on the individual topic page or from the Discussion Forum View/Subscribe Options page.

How to Subscribe to a Topic

1. Click Discussion Forum under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the topic on the Discussion Forum home view.
3. Click the Subscribe link at the top of the page.

4. You will receive a message that states you are subscribed to the topic.

Note: You cannot reply via email to Discussion Forum posts. You have to sign into the course site and post the reply there.

How to Unsubscribe from a Topic

1. Click Discussion Forum under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the topic on the Discussion Forum home view.
3. Click the Unsubscribe link at the top of the page.

4. You will receive a message that states you are no longer subscribed to the topic.
