One option available when you Add a New Simulation to a course in PathFinder is setting a date on which access to the simulation ends for students. This is useful when requiring completion of the PathFinder simulation as a graded activity in the course. When you choose the date access ends for students, you are given the option to provide an override code. This code can then be used for accepting late completion of the simulation or extending a deadline to one or more students in the course.
How to Set a Date Lock and Override Code on a Simulation
- Click PathFinder under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
-
From the main PathFinder page, click Edit next to the simulation you want to work on.
- Choose the date that access to the simulation ends in the Access to this simulation ends on field.
- Enter a code to be used to override the date and allow access in the Override Code for Lockout field.
- Click Save to immediately save your changes or Edit Paths to save your changes and continue working on the simulation.
