The Access Management tool in CoursePlus allows you to add TAs, editors, guest faculty, and guests to your CoursePlus sites.
In order to add someone to a class, the person has to have signed into CoursePlus at least one time. Otherwise, their name will not appear on the drop down list.
For a complete list of the roles available in CoursePlus, please see the explanation of roles.
Using Access Management to Add Students to a Course
Individuals can only be added as students to a CoursePlus site if the course is not an academic course at the University. CTL sets up these sites on an as-needed basis at the request of individual faculty to address specific teaching needs.
We strongly recommend that students who should normally be enrolled in your class through SIS not be added as a guest to your course. Students enrolled as guest do not have the same access as other students and therefore will not be able to participate fully. Please have the student contact the registration office for assistance. They can also reach out to CTL Help.
The ability to add enrolled students as a TA is not available. Students who are registered for a course in SIS are not able to be TAs for the same course.
