Explanation of Roles in a Course Site

These are the non-student roles an individual can be assigned in CoursePlus.

Role	Explanation
TA	Can access all course content and manipulate course content and student grades.
Course Coordinator	Can access all course content and manipulate course content and student grades. This role is not meant as a replacement for the TA role, and should only be used by coordinators listed as such in the School's course system.
Grading TA	Can access all course content. Cannot manipulate course content. Can access course Drop Boxes. Can access and score quizzes in the Quiz Generator. Can access and enter grades in the Gradebook. Cannot access the Discussion Forum as a "staff" member—meaning no access of categories meant for specific course groups.
Site Content Editor	Can access all course content and manipulate course content, except: Cannot access the Gradebook. Cannot grade student responses in the Quiz Generator.
Guest Faculty (Receives Class Email)	Can view all course content at any time. Cannot manipulate course content. Will receive emails sent to the entire class.
Guest Faculty (Does Not Receive Class Email)	Can view all course content at any time. Cannot manipulate course content. Will not receive emails sent to the entire class. Will not have their name listed in the Class Email tool.
Guest	Can view most content that students can currently see. Can use Signup Sheets. Cannot submit files to the Drop Box. Cannot submit answers to quizzes. Cannot access the Discussion Forum. Cannot be assigned grades in the Gradebook. Will not receive messages sent to the entire class.
Auditor	Can view most content that students can currently see. Can use Signup Sheets. Can submit files to the Drop Box. Can submit answers to quizzes. Can access the Discussion Forum. Cannot be included in Peer Assessments. Cannot be assigned grades in the Gradebook. Will receive messages sent to the entire class.
