Assignment instructions. Enter any instructions you want to appear to students on the page they upload their file(s) to the Drop Box.

Remind students when assignment due date is approaching? If there is a due date for a Drop Box, you can set it up to automatically send an email reminder to students who haven't yet submitted files to the Drop Box.
Link this Drop Box assignment to the following Page Builder page(s). Select which Page Builder page(s) you want the Drop Box to appear on. Note that a Drop Box section must exist on the page(s) for the Drop Box to populate.
Make this Drop Box assignment available to the following group(s). If there are course groups set up in the course, you can select which group(s) should have access to the Drop Box. Students not in the selected group(s) will not be able to access the Drop Box.
Can students submit on behalf of a group? Select Yes if you want students to be able to submit work for groups to which they are assigned. If this option is selected, the timed assignment option is not available.
Require honor pledge? Select Yes if you want students to confirm that they have followed the School's academic ethics policy before submitting a file.
Is this Drop Box assignment for an exam? Select Yes if you do not want students to be able to download their submissions or send them to their portfolios. Please be aware that there is no way to prevent students from keeping local copies of the files they submit.
Anonymize names of downloaded files? Select Yes to replace individual student names in filenames with random character strings. If this option is selected, the group submissions option cannot be selected.
Is this assignment timed? Drop Boxes can be set to only allow students a limited amount of time in which they can upload an assignment. Once a timed assignment drop box is unlocked by a student, a timer begins to countdown and the student will no longer be able to submit the assignment once time has ended. If this option is selected, the group submissions option cannot be selected.
Assignment Part Options
Assignment part name. Enter the name of the assignment part.
Allow the following file type(s). You have the option to make it so only specific file types — like Word documents, or PDF files — are allowed in the Drop Box. You can also allow files of any type to be submitted. The file type can be restricted for different parts of an assignment.
Is this assignment part resubmittable? By default, this option is enabled. Select No from the dropdown menu if you don't want students to be able to resubmit the assignment once they have made an initial submission.
Are submissions permitted after the assignment deadline? By default, this option is enabled. Select No from the dropdown menu if you don't want students to be able to submit the assignment after the due date. If enabled, student submissions after the due date are highlighted in red.
Can students see each other's submissions? Select Yes if you want students to be able to view and download their classmates' submitted assignments.
Should upload notifications be sent to faculty? Select Yes if you want to send notifications to a specified address when students submit a file to the Drop Box. You can also select Overdue Only if you only want to be notified of late submissions.
