The survey tool in CoursePlus currently supports three question types:
Essay — Allows you to ask a question and students will provide a response in a free-text format.
Multiple Choice — Setup a question with at least two choices where students can either select single or multiple responses. Multiple choice questions have the following additional options:

Allow multiple answers — Selecting this choice allows students to provide more than one answer.

Randomize choices — This option will re-arrange the choices so that they are not displayed in the same order when accessed by different students.

Allow user comment field — this option allows students to enter an explanation for their choice(s).
Matrix/Likert Scale — Ask a question with several choices set up as a range to measure student responses. You create a series of rows in the matrix/Likert scale that evaluate specific criteria (eg; "How familiar are you with this topic?" and a series of columns that define the response range (eg; "Very," "Somewhat," "Not at all"). Matrix/Likert scale questions have the following additional option:
