Wikis: Using Sections for Better Page Navigation

Adding a section header adds an entry for that section to the wiki navigation pane for that page. Section headers make it easier to quickly navigate a long wiki page.

How to Create Sections on a Wiki Page

1. Click Wikis under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the title of the wiki you want to work on.
3. In the Navigation pane on the left, select the page you want to edit.
4. Click Edit at the top of the page.
5. Place the cursor in the location where you want to insert the section's header.
6. Use the drop down menu in the upper-left corner of the rich text editor toolbar and select Subhead as the style type.
7. Click Save Changes.
8. The section header now appears in the Navigation pane on the left.
