Quiz Generator: Creating, Editing the Setup for, or Deleting a Quiz

Please note that these instructions only cover how to manage the "shell" of a quiz, not the questions inside a quiz.

How to Create a New Quiz

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click Create a Quiz at the top of the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Fill out the new quiz form. The quiz setup options page details the many options available to you.
4. Click Create New Quiz.

After you create the "shell" for a new quiz, you will need to add questions to that quiz.

There are specific guides if you need to create a new tag rule-based quiz, quiz set or in-lecture quiz.

How to Edit the Setup of an Existing Quiz

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Click the quiz title on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Setup in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
4. Make your changes to the setup form.
5. Click Save All Changes.

How to Delete a Quiz

When you delete a quiz, you have two options:

1. Delete only the "shell" for the quiz, but leave the questions in that quiz in the Question Bank for the course.
2. Delete the "shell" for the quiz and the questions in that quiz.

The process to delete a quiz is as follows:

1. Click Quiz Generator under Activities and Assignments on the main Faculty Tools page.
2. Find the quiz in the list of quizzes on the main Quiz Generator page.
3. Click Delete next to the appropriate quiz.
4. Click the link for Delete the quiz and all questions associated with the quiz OR Delete the quiz only.
5. The quiz and its questions (as appropriate) is deleted from the system.
