Every time someone makes a change to a page in a wiki, the Wiki tool saves a copy of that page in the history. You can compare different versions of a page to see who made what changes and when those changes were made. You can compare two specific versions of a page to each other, or see all the changes made by a specific author of the page.
View the History of a Page by Version
- Click Wikis under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
- Click the title of the wiki you want to work on.
- In the Navigation pane on the left, select the page for which you want to view the history.
- Click the History tab at the top of the page.
- The View by Version history page will appear.
- Click the dropdown arrow on the right or left side of the page to select different versions you want to compare. Each version is listed by date and by author.
- Click Compare to view the differences between the two selected versions.
Content added to the selected version of the page is highlighted in green. Content deleted between versions of the page is shown in gray with a strikethrough.
View the History of a Page by Author
- Click Wikis under Communication Tools on the main Faculty Tools page.
- Click the title of the wiki you want to work on.
- In the Navigation pane on the left, select the page for which you want to view the history.
- Click the History tab at the top of the page.
- Click View by Authors at the top of the page.
- Click the version date that you would like to view.
The current version is shown on the left with its most recent edit date and time. The current version displays changes since the selected version of the wiki authored by the selected person.
