You do not have to assign students to groups manually. Randomized groups can be created using a specific number of groups or a specified number of students. When you specify the number of groups, CoursePlus equally divides the total number of students in the course by the specified number of groups. When you specify the number of people in a group, CoursePlus creates the number of groups needed so that each group has the specified number of people. In the event equal distribution is not available due to number of students in the class, CoursePlus indicates how many groups will be created and how many students will be assigned to each. Adjustments can be made prior to group creation. Standard options for creating private Discussion Forums for each group as well as hiding groups from student views are available when randomizing group creation.
