Allowing students to preview the rubric of a Peer Assessment lets them get a sense of how they and other students will be evaluated before the assessment period actually begins. Students can access the preview on any Page Builder page to which the assessment is linked. This obviates the need for posting the rubric to the Online Library (or elsewhere) because the rubric preview is a PDF version of the actual rubric for that assessment. (This also removes the possibility that a posted PDF/Word version of the rubric will be out of sync with what is in the actual rubric for a Peer Assessment.)
Note: This feature only appears to students if the option is enabled in the settings, the Peer Assessments section has been added to a page, and that page has been added in Schedule Builder.
How to Allow Students to Preview a Rubric
- Follow the steps to create or edit a Peer Assessment.
- Under Rubric Options, click the checkbox for Allow students to view rubric before the assessment is open (only appears on linked Page Builder pages).
- Click Save and Continue to Rubric or Save Changes.
